Kingston native, Laurie Sakhnovskiy, received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in trumpet performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music in New York, NY. After living and performing in NYC for over a decade, Laurie relocated back up to the Hudson Valley after starting a family in the fall of 2016.
During her time in NYC, she performed in a variety of ensembles around the tri-state area, and as a soloist for various orchestras, winning multiple concerto competitions. Laurie subbed on Broadway with the Tony Award Winning Musical, Anything Goes, and was the studio recording musician for many television and film scores, most notably the NBC show, 30 Rock, and the Netflix show, Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt. In addition, she has played piano for over 25 years, and teaches piano and trumpet at her private studio.
In Laurie’s free time, she enjoys arranging and composing for brass players, all the while maintaining a coaching career for the sport of figure skating.
Andrea Shaut is one of the most in-demand Hudson Valley musicians on both piano and trombone. As the pianist for the West Point Military Academy Glee Club and The KazzMusic Orchestra, she has performed for prestigious events throughout the country. As an educator, Andrea maintains a private teaching studio in Kingston, NY where she teaches students of all ages. As an accompanist, she works with Hudson Valley professionals, colleges, high schools, and community organizations helping performers to sound their best.
Hudson Valley native Drew Youmans is a graduate of the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University (M.M) as well as the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College (B.M). Drew is currently an orchestral fellow with The Orchestra Now at Bard College. Balancing a career focused in chamber music, orchestral playing, and teaching, Drew is dedicated to creating accessible artistry in the community.
